Open Date: 10/27/09 Close Date: Department: Diagnostic Imaging Position: Transcriptionist Duty Hours: FT 10a-6p Requirements: High school education or GED equivalent required. Must be able to type a minimum of 65 wpm accurately. Medical terminology reqired. Knowledge of anatomy a must. Must have knowledge of Convenient Care, Radiology, and Cardiographics reports. Position Responsibilities: Must possess the ability to transcribe all radiology reports using dictation equipment and the RIS. Must ensure the correct spelling of medical terms and other words, correctly uses punctuation and grammar in the transcr Must perform visual and physical system checks on the dictation equipment. Maintains transcription equipment and notifi Performs quality control for transcribed examinations, notifies appropriate personnel of concerns. Accurately transcribes cath lab and cardiographs reports, must monitor physician queues in RIS throughout the day. Transcribes external reports and processes for radiological signature. Performs clerical duties related to medical transcription, keeps area clean and orderly. Processes physician & other department staff requests in a timely manner.
