Open Date: 07/21/09 Close Date: Department: Surgery Center (bypass) Position: RN Pre-Op Duty Hours: PRN Days Requirements: Current RN license, compact state. Must be current on BLS. ACLS within 90 days of employment. PALS preferred. 2 years of surgical, endo, or PACU experience preferred. Must be proficient in venipuncture/IV therapy, experience administering moderate sedation. Must have exceptional customer service skills. Membership in AORN, ASPAN, SGNA encouraged. Position Responsibilities: Must coordinate and implement quality nursing care for the surgical, endoscopic, or pain mgmt patient. Must assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the needs of patients in the pre and post operative periods. Must coordinate patient care needs with team members, anesthesia personnel, and surgeons/physicians.
