The Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Provider Course is a two-day class designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in developing the knowledge and skills necessary to evaluate efficiently and to manage effectively those infants and children who are seriously ill.
In this course, the students will learn how to assess for evidence of respiratory and circulatory compromise, establish treatment priorities, and intervene when necessary to stabilize the child. Students will also review treatment of the respiratory and circulatory systems, management of cardiac arrest and arrhythmia, and immediate post-resuscitation care.
PALS Classes are offered on Tuesday and Thursday of the same week. The class hours for DAY ONE are 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and for DAY TWO are 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
