The Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Provider Course is a two-day class designed for healthcare providers who either direct or participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in- or out-of-the-hospital setting. The goal of the ACLS Provider Course is to improve the quality of care provided to the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergency.
In this course, the students will enhance their skills in the treatment of arrest and peri-arrest patients through active participation in a series of simulated cardiac and respiratory cases. These simulations are designed to reinforce important concepts, including: the Basic Life Support (BLS) Primary Survey, the ACLS Secondary Survey, ACLS algorithms, and effective resuscitation team dynamics.
The class hours for DAY ONE are 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m., and for DAY TWO are 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.
If you would like to register for the class, you may contact the JSMC Education Department at (270) 887-6859. For JSMC employees, please click here for the Specialty Class Registration Instructions and Voucher.
