The American Heart
Association designed the BLS for Healthcare Providers Course to prepare a wide
variety of healthcare professionals to recognize several life-threatening
emergencies and to provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe,
timely, and effective manner. The course includes adult, child, and infant
rescue skills in both the out-of-hospital and in-hospital settings. This course
is tested.
This class is taught by the
JSMC Community Health Nurse and is offered to healthcare providers, who are
already practicing medicine in the community.The cost is $25.Please see the

This class will be taught in
the JSMC Stuart Building Conference Room.
The JSMC Stuart Building is located across 18th Street from the main hospital. It is a green-roofed building and is next to the helicopter pad. From Canton Pike, turn onto 18th Street, and immediately turn right into the Stuart Building and Air Evac parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the upper level parking lot. The Stuart Building Conference Room is located to the left of the front door.
