Jennie Stuart Medical Center is proud to present "The Best Babysitter in Town" workshop. This is a babysitter course designed to prepare a new babysitter with the knowledge on how to respond to minor medical emergencies and to provide infant and childcare services.
The three major components of the class include:
Safety First - Basic first aid, environment checks, emergency planning
Taking Good Care - Infant and childcare techniques 101
User-Friendly Fun - Age-appropriate activities that facilitate a successful babysitting experience
The JSMC "Best Babysitter in Town" workshop is taught by the hospital's Community Health Nurse. The cost is $15 and includes snacks and materials. Pre-registration is mandatory by calling 270-887-0287 or

Class size is limited. Participants must be at least 13 years old and must demonstrate a desire to babysit and to pay attention in class. Students who complete this workshop receive a discount on the Family & Friends CPR course.
This class is taught in the Stuart Building Conference Room.
The JSMC Stuart Building is located across 18th Street from the main hospital. It is a green-roofed building and is next to the helicopter pad. From Canton Pike, turn onto 18th Street, and immediately turn right into the Stuart Building and Air Evac parking lot. Handicapped parking is located on the upper level parking lot. The Stuart Building Conference Room is located to the left of the front door.
