 Gastroenterologist to join Fairview Physicians Network

HOPKINSVILLE—Jeffrey K. Riggs, DO, FACOI, is joining Fairview Physicians Network, LLC, (FPN), a wholly owned subsidiary of Jennie Stuart Medical Center (JSMC), effective March 1, 2013. Dr. Riggs, who is board-certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine, and his staff at Digestive Healthcare of Western Kentucky, will operate the third practice of FPN.
“We are pleased to have Dr. Riggs join our growing network of physician practices. He and his staff will continue to provide high-quality treatments for gastrointestinal disorders as they have in this community for the past 16 years,” Darrell Gustafson, executive director, FPN, says.
“Our commitment to providing excellent medical care to our patients and their gastrointestinal needs will continue. Digestive Healthcare of Western Kentucky is a good fit with Fairview and Jennie Stuart,” Dr. Riggs says.
Digestive Healthcare will continue office hours at the current location, 1102 S. Virginia Street, for the next few months, although plans are to relocate the practice to the Doctors Pavilion at the JSMC campus early next year. The practice name will remain the same, Gustafson says.
Earlier this year, FPN opened its second practice—GuthrieMD—in Guthrie. Last month, the first FPN practice—BluegrassMD—held a customer appreciation day to mark its one-year anniversary serving patients.
