JSMC reorganizes clinical, non-nursing services under new leader

HOPKINSVILLE—Lori Legaspi, MSN, RN, SANE, was recently promoted to assistant vice president, Ancillary Services, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center (JSMC), reporting to Eric Lee, president and CEO. She had been administrator at Jennie Stuart Ambulatory Surgery Center (JSASC) for the past five years.
Legaspi now oversees laboratory, pathology, diagnostic imaging, rehabilitation, pharmacy, cardiographic services, physician assistants, engineering, and safety and security at the hospital; JSASC, Medical Imaging Center, and Express Lab at JSMC’s Eagle Way Campus; inMotion Rehabilitation & Sports Medicine; Occupational Medicine; and Home Health. She has worked in healthcare for 24 years, including 12 at JSMC.
She is president, Greater Cumberland Chapter, Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses; state representative, Kentucky Nurses Association Education and Research Cabinet; and a member of American Organization of Nurse Executives and several other nursing organizations.
Legaspi is active with community organizations, including Hopkinsville Chamber of Commerce Military Affairs Committee as an Eagle Ambassador, and Fort Campbell Credit Union Member Advisory Board; and previously with United Way of the Pennyrile.
