|  | Jennie Stuart Medical Center operates a full-service state-of-the-art Clinical Laboratory, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The laboratory recently achieved the prestigious "Accreditation with Distinction" by making a perfect score on its most recent on-site survey by the College of American Pathologists (CAP).
A staff of approximately 50 professionals including pathologists, medical technologists, medical laboratory technicians, histotechnicians, phlebotomists, transcriptionists, and receptionists, provides high quality services in the following disciplines:
- Surgical Pathology & Cytology
- Clinical Chemistry
- Clinical Microscopy
- Hematology and Coagulation
- Immunology
- Microbiology
- Transfusion Service & Blood Bank
- Specimen Collection
Outpatients are served through one of two conveniently located collection sites:
CentralLab located in the Medical Mall on the northwest side of the main JSMC campus. It can be reached via the main hospital entrance on Canton Street between West 17th and West 18th Streets.

ExpressLab located on the Jennie Stuart Eagle Way Campus at 110 Nick Terhune Boulevard. This convenient service offers:
OutPatient Service to walk-in patients - In addition to providing access to a large in-house testing menu at our CentralLab, we also offer several other special services. We are an authorized collection site for LabOne and LabCorp cards, and several accredited DNA Paternity Testing laboratories,
CurbSide Service to patients with difficulty walking into the lab
HouseCall Service to homebound patients upon the request of the attending physician
CliniCall Service to patients confined to nursing facilities, psychiatric hospitals, assisted living facilities, and senior residential communities. We also make pickups and provide emergency specimen collection at physicians' offices. Our location is also a specimen convenient drop-off site home health agency personnel.

Patients may choose to have their blood collected at one of our above locations. Please bring your physician's orders and insurance information with you when you visit the Laboratory. If you do not choose to take advantage of the ExpressLab location, please arrive at the Medical Mall Patient Access Services and allow 30 minutes for the registration and collection process.
