|  | In an effort to respond to the ever changing needs of our community, and to continue providing caring, efficient and quality healthcare to our hospitalized patients, Jennie Stuart Medical Center has implemented a Hospitalist Program.
- The term “Hospitalist” refers to a physician whose primary responsibility is to provide medical care to hospitalized patients.
- Physicians specializing in “Hospitalism” do not have private practices, allowing them to spend the majority of their time in the hospital meeting the needs of acutely ill patients.
- The Hospitalist Program is available to all physicians on JSMC’s medical staff.
- Participation is completely voluntary, with each physician choosing whether he or she will utilize the service, and to what extent. We believe the services and expertise provided by the Hospitalist group will enhance the course of treatment for hospitalized patients and are pleased to be able to offer this service to our patients.
