If you have any safety concerns, please use the nurse call button. All hospital
personnel must wear a picture ID badge at all times. If someone without a badge presents himself or herself as a hospital employee, please notify your nurse or physician immediately.
Do not leave the nursing unit without notifying the nurse in charge as to where
you are going and when you will return.
Valuables
- The hospital cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage to valuables or other personal property.
- Please send them home with family members or friends. If that’s not possible, please ask for the items to be placed in the hospital safe.Eyeglasses, contact lenses, hearing aids and dentures should be kept in protective containers when not in use
- A denture cup is available to our patients. We cannot be responsible for dentures left on meal trays, in the bed or wrapped in napkins.
- Although we are unable to assume responsibility for missing items, if something is lost, we will do everything possible to locate it.
Fire and Disaster Safety
Drills are held occasionally by the hospitals in order to protect patients should a real emergency occur. Various bells and alarms sound during these procedures. Please remain in your room until the drill is over. In the event of a real emergency, remain in your room until the nursing staff gives you instructions.
For Your Safety
Our staff wants to make sure you or your family member will always receive the safest care while in the hospital. You will notice outside each room a colored star. We use these stars to alert our staff to a patient's risk for falls.
A red star is high risk for falls and requires assistance of two people.
A yellow star is moderate risk for falls and requires assistance of one person.
A green star is low fall risk. The patient is independent and requires no assistance.
We will also be verifying your NAME and DATE OF BIRTH prior to administering any medication, performing procedures, or diagnostic testing such as lab work and x-rays. | |
