|  | Volunteers greet patients in the Emergency Department, transport and escort patients within the hospital, deliver flowers and mail, staff the gift shop and perform other duties. Our current volunteers range in age from 30 and up. For more information about joining the JSMC volunteer group, call (800) 877-JSMC, ext. 1287.
As part of National Volunteer Week, April 15-21, 2012, Jennie Stuart Medical Center commended one dozen volunteers for service milestones:
- For 20 years of service, Dorothy Cook, Tula Harper, Pat Holmes, Rebecca Noel and Virginia Ogg.
- For 15 years of service, Robert Roach.
- For 10 years of service, Robert Boyd, Wayne Clark and Holland Garnett.
- For five years of service, Betty Pyle, Luko Sato and Gerald Smith.
JSMC cited several volunteers with more than 20 years of service, including Sarah Lewis, 33 years; Marie Meece, 27 years; Jane Wright, 24 years; and Mary Ancil and Marjorie Means, 22 years.
The hospital gave special recognition to the longest-serving volunteer, Helen Bradley, for 37 years of continuous service. About 50 of JSMC’s 82 volunteers attended a luncheon on April 16 in their honor. |  |
